Chrisi - Monica is running around today, but she will give you some input on the motivation side. As for the calorie count, check out this post - http://bit.ly/XrUfS. Basically, we have broken down the P90X nutrition plan here and tried to provide some helpful resources.

Read the comments there. A lot of people have the same concerns regarding caloric intake. I think it is ok to run a 400 calorie deficit to lose weight. Understand that weight loss is not necessarily what P90X was designed for, which explains the way caloric need is calculated. Also, what goes into those calories is really the key. The diet is designed to jump start your metabolism and turn your body into a fat burning machine using lean protein and then adjusting over time. Check out the post, it should explain a lot of things.

I want to first thank you for putting up these post and making it a bit eaiser to understand. I am also a mother of two 6 & 2 1/2, I am 5' 7" and 151lbs which is insane to me. I generally stay around 135 I feel like im on a crazy downward spirl! I bought the dvd's and I want to do the lean program I have used them about once every other week one day a week. How did you finally get yourself motivated to go for it? Also I caculated my calorie intake it says 2424 so I am in level 2 however do you stay in that level when your weight decreases or do you move down to level 1? Thank you so much for any advice you can give.
