I love my bike. No, it is not a $5,000 carbon gem. No, it doesn’t have SRAM red components. Just a good old fashioned road bike converted to time trial. It does have Dura-Ace components and in its day it was the poo. It may not be a Cervelo P3, but its my bike and I love it. It fits me well and it is fast.
Now for the question. If you had $1,000 what kind of aero wheels would you buy? Why? Help me out here people. The time has come. I’m averaging up over 18 mph and I usually ride alone. Need something sturdy that I can put a lot of miles on and fast for race day. Prefer clinchers, but could probably make the switch to tubulars.

I don’t know much about aero wheels but thought I would answer the question in your post title. I love my bike! I bought a GT i-drive a few years back and love it. It’s climbs like a mule and is super tough on the trails. Wouldn’t trade it for anything just wish I had more time to ride it.
