I'm glad you've had a bit of time to transition, too, to make the switch less drastic. I have been self-employed all of my life (25 years now!), and it is awesome. And it has it's downsides and hardships, too, just like anything in life. Just a small piece of advice, if you'll have it - faith is the most important element. It will always be okay, even when sometimes it might not feel that way. good luck on your new journey!
