Post Ultimate Reset Nutrition Plan

Ultimate Reset RecipesThe Ultimate Reset Cleanse finished up a little less than three weeks ago.  I wanted to give everyone an update about what I’ve been doing since.  My nutrition plan after the Ultimate Reset was to limit my consumption of animal products (fish, chicken, meat, eggs, etc.) to three days a week and eat vegetarian the other days.  That was a good goal to set for myself and I’ve done pretty well with it.  I’d say it’s more like three days of vegetarian and four days of carnivorism.

Despite falling a bit short of the goal, I feel great.  What this means is every other day (or every few days) I have a day of pure vegetarianism.  I’m also limiting my consumption of grains, so what it really means on these days is that I’m eating a ton of veggies.  I know that is good for my body.

Ultimate Reset RecipesHere’s an example of a very easy recipe that I enjoy on my vegetarian days, and what I’m having for lunch today.  It’s a sweet potato, so it has one ingredient…sweet potato.  Next time you pick up something in a box or a bag see how many ingredients are in it.  My guess is more than one, unless it is a bag of carrots. It’s super simple.  I peal it and quarter it.  Then I spread a little coconut oil on the quartered pieces with some salt and pepper.  Next, I bake it on a cookie sheet for about 40 minutes at 350 degrees.  What a great lunch.  The average sweet potato has 180 calories, 0g of fat, 41g of low glycemic index carbs and 4g of protein.  The coconut oil adds 40 to 50 more calories and some healthy fats.  Add a micro greens salad to this mix and you’ve got a super healthy vegan lunch.  That’s my kind of deal.

Ultimate Reset RecipesI am also continuing to take some of the Ultimate Reset supplements.  I take Alkalinize and Optimize daily, along with my Shakeology and Omega 3 supplements.  I’m also continuing to keep my body hydrated.  One of my favorite things about the Ultimate Reset was how it forced me to think about hydrating my body.  Continuing with some of the supplements keeps me focused on that.  Once a day (usually around 10:00 AM) I have my Alkalinize and my Optimize and a big glass of water.

I’m really pleased with my Ultimate Reset experience and my results.  It has given me a different way to approach my nutrition.  It is very easy to get off track.  The slightest divergence in course can lead you to miss your destination.  The reset was a great opportunity to take another look at that and then move forward…back on track.

Did the Ultimate Reset require you to drink more water than you were already drinking? Did it seem like allot more than your normal amount?

It required me to drink the amount that I SHOULD have been drinking, but I had really fallen behind on my water intake. I didn’t realize how dehydrated my body was. Now I’m drinking at least 80oz per day, if not more. I’m also continuing to take the alkalinize supplement to keep the pH levels at that good slightly alkaline level. Come to think of it…it’s time for a big glass of water!!!

The hardest thing for me post reset is to keep up my water intake. I think taking the supplements helped keep me on track with this. Post-reset I didn’t order any additional supplements. Any tips on keeping up the water intake?

I think you just need to be intentional about it. I try to make sure I have my 8 big glasses a day. When I’m hungry, the first thing I do is reach for some water. Half the time I’m actually thirsty.
