Meet Dave

Working out in the Sun in AZ

Hello, and welcome to the Fit Club Network! I’m Dave Ward, a husband, father, attorney, triathlete and one half of a husband/wife Beachbody Coaching Team! I am currently an Independent Diamond Coach and helping people get fit and, more importantly, get paid to get in the best shape of their lives is a passion of mine. I simply cannot say enough about how Beachbody has changed both our physical and financial lives.

Personal Fitness Coaching

Beachbody is founded on peer support. Unfortunately, a high percentage of people do not complete the program of their choice. Many walk away simply because they feel alone. I want to help you beat those odds. Like most people, my life has been a roller coaster of fitness so I can help you regardless of your current level of fitness. My wife Monica is also a great resource for women’s fitness issues. If you don’t know her, you should. She’s simply incredible.

I want to help you get fit. As you will see from my story, I’ve struggled with my fitness over the years. My ultimate goal with my fitness coaching is to help you change your life. Your program may be designed for 90 days or six weeks of hardcore exercise, but that is a beginning, not the end. I would like to see you get fit in 90 days, but I would love to help you change your life.  One of the key resources we use to help people is our message boards, which can be found HERE.

Since the summer of 2003 my life has changed dramatically. That was when Monica and I discovered Beachbody and our friend, mentor, and personal punishment distributor, Tony Horton. We started with Power 90 and we both had great results. We then moved on to P90X. To her credit, Monica has maintained her results since 2003. I, on the other hand, struggled with keeping the weight off and staying in shape.

We moved to Phoenix, AZ in January of 2006 and my downward spiral began.  I was working in a law firm that seemed to have a singular goal: run me into the ground and kill me.  By January of 2007 I had gained over 25 pounds and weighed 192. I decided I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I pulled out the P90 DVD’s and rededicated myself to fitness. In 2007, I did 10,000 push ups and 10,000 sit ups. I also lost 20 pounds, most of which came off in those first 90 days of 2007. I had never felt better and decided to pull out the P90X DVD’s again.

In November of 2007, my father passed away after a long battle with a very rare neurological disorder. He was an avid cyclist and the most gentle person I’ve ever known. I had just started a round of P90X when he got really sick and moved to Phoenix to be closer to us. I stuck to the strength workouts, but couldn’t do the cardio.  P90X was the only thing in my life at that time that was not falling appart.  Everyday, Tony was there refusing to let me make any excuses.  In January of 2008 I decided to take on the X full time, and even did P90X+.

At around that time we had some friends in town for the Rock and Roll Marathon. One of them qualified for the Boston Marathon. That was inspiring to say the least. My beautiful and talented wife Monica decided to train for the San Diego Marathon, and I decided to start running for the first time in my life. I thought I could not run because I had knee issues associated with an ACL repair in 1994.

In March of 2008 Monica was awarded a Top Coach honor and off we went to Hawaii. We got to work out with Tony Horton and meet the Beachbody Executives. Carl Daikeler (CEO) and John Congdon (President) are really good people, who really understand how Beachbody can change lives, both physically and financially. I am so very lucky to have met them and to have gotten an intimate look at this incredible company.

Dave After the San Diego International Triathlon

Another friend of ours is into triathlon. She convinced me to do a sprint Tri in March, and I was hooked. I found that P90X laid such a good base of strength that I was able to do that race with only one week of training (try it). That launched a major entry into the triathlon world.  The first big race I did was the San Diego International.  That went well and I did a few more races in 2008.  In 2009 I decided to do it again and The Beachbody Network News even came and filmed me at the race.  All this was really a prelude to a race that I had always wanted to do.  The Superfrog Half Ironman, which is sponsored by the US Navy SEAL’s and benefits the familes of these brave warriors who make the ultimate sacrifices for our country.  On April 11th, 2010 I completed one of the most difficult Half Ironman courses on the triathlon circuit.

With the Superfrog over I have turned to Insanity as a way to become a stronger cyclist.  I’m not sure if it is my father’s influence, but I found that I really enjoy cycling and it is at the heart of my desire to race and my fitness.  There’s nothing better than Insanity to push you to another level.  The cardio conditioning combined with the sheer power that you develop with the program is simply outstanding.  I’ll enjoy Insanity, bike racing and a few triathlons this summer and then perhaps do a hybrid of Insanity and P90X.

Business Coaching

Enough about me. This part is about you. If you arrived at this site it was likely because you are interested in becoming a Coach. The group of Beachbody Coaches grows every single day, and there are a number of excellent Coaches who can assist you with your business. I hope to tell you why you should choose Monica and me to help you build your business.  After practicing law full time for ten years, I have become a full time Beachbody Coach.  If you are wondering how good this opportunity can be, look no further than that decision.

Team Concept

We are truly a team. We work the business in tandem, which means you have two people to talk to, two sets of ideas on approaching the business, and twice the potential for downline growth.  In addition to our household team concept, we promote a team concept within our business. Here in Phoenix we encourage our Coaches to band together and present a united front. We have Coaches on our team across the United States, and we are encouraging them to do precisely the same thing. Please contact us if you want more information about Coaches in other U.S. Cities.  We conduct a weekly Fit Club Network Team Call, and provide one on one mentoring to the individuals we sponsor.  We sponsor people into this business, we don’t just recuit.  This isn’t about numbers, it is about helping people achieve their dreams.

Repeatable  Systems

We employ a number of strategies, both in person and on the internet. We have print materials and internet materials that you can use to build your business. We don’t charge you for these items. Our goal is to make you an independent Diamond Coach as soon as possible. To do that, you will need to have a system. Our system is tested. We’ve seen strategies succeed and strategies fail. We will provide you with those systems that have been successful and help you build your business. Every new Coach goes through a Getting Started Right interview that will help you understand why you are doing this business and how we can help you achieve your goals.

Commitment to Our Coaches

Our commitment to you, as one of our Coaches, is to provide you with these services and the advice necessary to implement them to make your business a success. This is not a commitment that is made lightly. On numerous occasions we have traveled across the country to assist our Coaches with events and help them build their business. We strongly believe that the personal support of your upline Coach is essential to a successful business. By making this commitment to you, and helping you become a success, we know you will pay that forward and make a similar commitment to your downline Coaches when they sign up.

Please contact me if you have any questions about how I can help you get fit or the Team Beachbody Coaching Opportunity.
