It includes five power meals per day with relatively equal caloric value.  You&#8217;ll need to determine your own caloric needs using the mathematical formula in the Elite Nutrition Guide.</p>
<p>The Insanity Elite Nutrition Guide presents an incredibly powerful way to light your metabolic fire and keep it going all day long. The basic premise of the Elite Nutrition Guide is to eat 5 meals per day and have each of those meals be of nearly equivalant value.  The first step in the nutrition guide is to calculate your calories.  The calculations in the Elite Nutrition Guide are somewhat complicated.  To simplify things we have created a spreadsheet.  The spreadsheet walks you through the threes step process to determine your required caloric intake.  Note that: (1) there are separate calculations for men and women; and (2) the process requires you to be honest about your activity levels and goals.</p>

<p>UPDATE &#8211; December 29, 2009.  Over the past year or so we have gotten a lot of questions about this post and it has generated a lot of attention.  One major development since we originally did this post was the introduction of <a href="http://www.shakeology.com/azfitclub">Shakeology</a> to the Beachbody line of supplements.  Shakeology is hard to define in the P90X Nutrition Plan.  At 140 calories with 15g of protein and 19g of carbs (Greenberry) or 17g of protein and 17g of carbs (Chocolate) it is not really a full serving of either.  With Beachbody&#8217;s advice, we have characterized it as a snack.  Note that if you add items into the shake and increase the calories, it can easily be a double snack, rather than a single snack.  Most people like to add fruit to the greenberry and things like almond butter and bananas to the chocolate.  If you do that, take a minute and look up the caloric values of your additions and track them accordingly.  We have updated the Excel document below to reflect this change.  Also, we want to point out that the <a href="http://www.beachbodycoach.com/azfitclub">P90X Results and Recovery Formula</a> is also properly tracked as a snack.  In that case it is a double snack.</p>

<p>ORIGINAL POST &#8211; January 29, 2009.  The P90X nutrition guide can be an overwhelming document, as a P90X coach and graduate of the program, I have created a simpler system to help you with the portion approach. I hope that you can benefit and maximize your P90X results by using these documents to support all your hard work and sacrifice during the program.</p>
<h3>Step 1 &#8211; Calculate your Daily Calorie Needs and Determine your &#8220;Level&#8221;.</h3>
<p>Start by downloading this Excel file.  The document contains several steps at the top.  These will help you determine how many calories you will need on a daily basis and what &#8220;Level&#8221; of the program you will be on.  There are &#8220;Levels&#8221; and &#8220;Phases&#8221;.  The &#8220;Level&#8221; relates to how many calories you need on a daily basis.  As the diet progresses it goes from a high protein/low carb diet, to a more balanced, but slightly higher carb diet.  Each progress is a &#8220;Phase&#8221;.</p>

<p>The Excel file also has a daily tracker you can use.  If you can print this up and laminate if then you can keep track of your portions each 6 days.  If not, just print a new page every six days.  The daily tracker also has boxes for water and supplements to help remind you to DRINK WATER.  This will help you to stay accountable and on target to the outrageously fit YOU!</p>
<p>When you download the Meun planners below you will see that each section tells you how much a &#8220;Serving&#8221; is.  For example, a 3 oz. chicken breast is one serving of protein.  If you eat a large (9 oz.) chicken breast, then that is 3 servings of protein, and you would check 3 boxes in the protein category in your daily tracker.</p>
<h3>Step 2: Plan your Menu.</h3>
<p>Below you will find three different menu plans for each Phase of the diet.  Download these documents, starting with Phase I &#8211; Fat Shredder, and take a good look at the foods in the food plan. This was especially important for us because Dave and I have two kids to feed and we wanted healthy, kid friendly meals. Although, our kids&#8217; taste palate expand all the time, eliminating  items off the list make the list more realistic.  This is a good shopping list for us.</p>

<p>In proteins for example, I removed ham slices, soy burgers, soy cheese, tofu, turkey bacon, veggie burgers, and veggie dogs. The simplified list was AWESOME for menu planning and for food shopping at the store. Family dinners have always been my biggest concern.</p>
<p>Obviously, our children are not restricted to portions like one carb and 2 proteins and 1 veggie.</p>
<p>A delicious Turkey meatball or Lean ground Beef meatball with a home made marinara and a cup of whole grain pasta. Makes a delicious meal for the whole family.</p>
<p>Corn tortillas and shredded chicken is another delicious meal for the family. Depending on your specific level and phase, you can add black beans and brown rice.</p>

<p>I am 36 year old married mother of 2. It is very important for me to model healthy behaviors for my children. I want them to grow up fit and healthy. Among other things I teach my children, I would love to know that I helped them to maintain a heathly lifestyle. My Beachbody revolution started after I had my second child, I really wanted to get into shape and start a regular exercise regimen.</p>
<p>I could live with my overweight body and my poor eating habits but, I couldn’t live with the fact that my behaviors were directly influencing my two children. I was suddenly confronted with a big decision of changing my lifestyle but, I didn’t know how. I tried the gym and a personal trainer. She was great but, the gym experience was too expensive and inconvenient. Ironically, the personal trainer at the gym told me I could reach my fitness goals in less than an hour just doing exercises in my home. I didn’t believe her and soon I learned how wrong I was. Late one night, I caught an advertisement for Power 90. Tony Horton offered me the 30-40 minute workout that I could complete in the comfort of my own home. I thought I’d give it a try. The first few weeks were hard. I was sore and slow. The day one photos haunted me. Could I have really become the person in that picture? By day 30, I was down 12 pounds and could really feel it in my clothes. The side by side photos were amazing to me. I couldn’t wait to post them on my thread for the community to see. I was far from my goal weight but, I was beaming with pride and ready to celebrate with my message board buddies. Day 90 was incredible.</p>

<p>I found myself 23 pounds lighter and had gone from a size 14 to a size 6. The most surprising thing was that the previous year I had gotten down to 141 pounds by dieting and was a tight size 10. On day 90, I weighed in at 139 pounds and was wearing a comfortable size 6. The exercise was truly transforming my figure. The next program I tried was Slim in 6. By the end of the six weeks, I was down to a size 4 and had lost another 8 pounds. After that success, I tried Yoga Booty Ballet. I had so much fun dancing and sweating. I have completed P90X twice. I have completed 4 half marathons and even ran my first marathon in San Diego last June of 2008.</p>
<p>Sometimes, I just shake my head in disbelief. I never thought I’d learn to love exercise and I love it! I finally live a healthier life. I love that my lifestyle is positively impacting my family. Anyone around me who wants to change their lives will hear me tell them to get a Team Beachbody program and never look back.</p>

The group of Beachbody Coaches grows every single day, and there are a number of excellent Coaches who can assist you with your business. <p>We are truly a team. We work the business in tandem, which means you have two people to talk to, two sets of ideas on approaching the business, and twice the potential for downline growth.<br />
In addition to our household team concept, we promote a team concept within our business. Here in Phoenix we encourage our Coaches to band together and present a united front. We have Coaches on our team across the United States, and we are encouraging them to do precisely the same thing. <h4>Repeatable Systems</h4>
<p>We employ a number of strategies, both in person and on the internet. We have print materials and internet materials that you can use to build your business. We don’t charge you for these items. Our goal is to make you an independent Diamond Coach as soon as possible. To do that, you will need to have a system. Our system is tested. We’ve seen strategies succeed and strategies fail. We will provide you with those systems that have been successful and help you build your business.</p>

<p>Our commitment to you, as one of our Coaches, is to provide you with these services and the advice necessary to implement them to make your business a success. This is not a commitment that is made lightly. On numerous occasions we have traveled across the country to assist our Coaches with events and help them build their business. By making this commitment to you, and helping you become a success, we know you will pay that forward and make a similar commitment to your downline Coaches when they sign up.</p>
