I am male, 40 years old, 5'11'' and 205lbs right now. I have finally gotten my p90x dvd's and am excited to start. Here is my question. I followed the guide and I ended up with 3060 calories. That puts me in Level 3. I am looking to loose about 25 pounds and tone my muscles. I dont know how many calories I should be intaking each day. This is the part that is confusing to me. I have never been on a diet before so I am new to all of this. I have seen dropping my calories around 500 to loose weight. So if I am at 3060 and I drop 500 I am at 2560. I should then take out 600 for the p90x workout? bringing me to 1960. Then I tried to work out a meal plan based on that and using the portions in level 1 at 2000 calories. I somehow came out under 2000 everytime. I think that I am doing something wrong. I have not started the workout yet, I want to get this down so I understand what I am doing. Bottom line, I would like to know, based on my stats and what I want to acheive, how many calories and what level should I be at.
Any help would be appreciated.

In short, welcome! I too was just as confused. I am going to direct you to this link [it helped me alot]
http://www.thefitclubnetwork.com/2009/01/p90x-nutrition-plan-made-easy/
Once you read that, it should clear up some questions and quite possibly give you more questions.
I am sure someone will jump in and explain it better detail, but that's a start.
You are in the right place, everyone is fantastic with their answers and have helped me alot so far.

John,
I wrote a blog post walking you through the whole thing (http://fityoginirunner.com/?p=881). All the steps should be there.

Thanks for the help FitRunner. I read the blog and it was great. It told me what I was wanting to know. I started in a level 2 with 2400 calories and found that I was only eating about 1800 - 1900 calories anyways. I simply dropped down to a Level 1 and changed my portions a bit since the serving size changes a little. With 1900 calories I have enough energy to do the workouts and I am trying to get all of my portions in. If I was understanding your blog right, I should be able to attain my goal if I eat anywhere from 1800 - 1900 calories. Also I am having a hard time getting the daily protein servings. I eat 3 egg whites in the morning, 6oz of tuna at lunch, and then about 6oz of some lean meat at night. I am still lower in the portions than what the guide says. Should I supp with a protein drink or shake to get the required protein? I moved myself to Level 1 as of today with 1900 calories.

Glad it was helpful!
Yeah, 1800-1900 will get you there. If you're comfortable and happy doing that, then you should be getting some great results at the end of 90 days!
Regarding the supplementation, if you are currently eating the right amount of calories, adding anything at all (even for a "good" purpose) will put you higher in calories, meaning you might come in a little short on your 90-day weight loss goal. But on the other hand, if you're not eating enough portions of something yet meeting your calorie amounts, that sort of suggests you're not just short on protein but also high on something else. Is that the case?

I am eating the right amount of portions, however I am coming short on calories. I have some left at the end of the day when it is all said and done. I am always a little short on protein as far as trying to get to 50%. I eat the right amount of portions, just come up a little short. That is why I was thinking some protein powder should do the trick. Increase my protein and I still have enough calories left to accomdiate it. I am good on the others, keeping my carbs and fat down to the levels that the guide says. I checked the past few days and I am not high on anything else. Is the Protein powder a good idea to increase my protein intake? If so, what is a good protein powder on the market? A side note, I am also on a budget as I have a family to worry about. So the lower the price the better, but I do want something quality.
Also I am happy and not hungry at all with 1800 - 1900 calories. It is all good.

Cold air intake is mainly a device which brings comparatively cooler air, to the car’s internal combustion engine, and thus, increases the engine power and efficiency. Air intake systems contribute to a substantial increase in the horsepower. This is an inexpensive way to increase the efficiency of your car engine.
Cold air systems have four parts. They include two mandrel-bent aluminum piping, one billet-aluminum MAF adaptor and one high flow filter. These systems generally tend to add 3-5 horse power, to the engine. The sound wave generated by an intake system and its frequency varies greatly, depending upon the length of the system; the longer the system, the lower the frequency. With all the usual intake systems, as the RPM increases, the inlet valve opening also increases accordingly; but the length of the inlet tract remains constant throughout. cool air intakes (http://www.airintakeandfilter.com/)
