Hey there-
So, into Day 4 of p90x, and feeling great. Still perfecting my nutrition plan based on watching Monica & Dave's videos and guidebook. I'm currently 147 lbs. and according to Dave's excel spreadsheet, should be consuming around 2,300 cal. per day. Would like to work with a deficit of around 300 to 400 calories, putting me at around 1,900, to shed some fat. Going off of Monica's video for setting up a Phase 1, Level 1 nutrition plan, I am trying to eat as follows:
7am: Recovery
8am: fruit, dairy, protein
10:30: snack (Monica says Shakeology here)
1pm: protein, protein, veg., condiment
4 pm: dairy
6:30: carb, veg., protein, protein, fat
So, here's my question: I am not really into buying Shakeology, protein bars, R&R formula. But I do currently supplement with protein powder occasionally. I have looked at the makeup of R&R formula and Shakeology in terms of cal., prot., carb., and fat. Can someone give me some specific suggestions for what whole foods I can prepare in place of R&R formula and Shakeology according to my plan above?
I'd really appreciate any input to help me get the most out of my nutrition plan.
Jeanne :)
