I think this is the correct thread for this, but not positive. I am two weeks into Insanity, and was dead tired all the time. Then I realized I wasn't eating nearly well enough for the amount of activity it required. So I did a lot of research and now eat 5 meals a day including around 140g protein (I'm 200lbs and 6'), plus a good recovery drink after the workout. Now, I have tons of energy, even an hour after my workout, when before I'd completely crash at that point.

My problem is, now I can't sleep. I have so much energy I lay in bed for several hours at night. Is this normal? And can I expect my body to balance out to the new diet soon?

Thank you for any help!

Hi,,,
How much calories are you consuming per day?
I advice you to eat as much as you can in your dinner and then try to sleep soon.Although many people believe that it is not a healthy practice but this shall works for you...

around 2200-2400 per day. I was only getting 1500 or so. I've actually started sleeping better, so I guess my body just needed to get used to constantly having fuel.
