If you don't know what a cheat food is:
Cheat Food - unhealthy food eaten once in a while by a person trying to maintain a healthy diet
also i would like to know if some people eat unhealthy for a whole day instead of a meal or a single food.
I just ate Chinese Food(a small plate) errrrrr. because we had friends over. They don't workout but they are my buds and buddettes.
80/20 is the rule. 80% needs to be healthy whole foods. 20% can be a little less so. Don't go crazy. When you get really, really serious like Tony it goes to 90/10.

If you are going to have a free meal, it's better to do it at night for your last meal. By using that method, you'll avoid eating like crap all day long. As to how often I eat cheat meals, that really depends on my specific goals at the time. If I'm leaning down and really serious, I'll have 1 free meal/wk albeit it's still not too crazy. At other times, I might have several free meals a week, but if it gets too out of hand I'll follow it with a 24-36 hour fast.

I saw a nutritionist for a few months awhile back to lean down. My main goal was to reduce my body fat % into the athletic range for a woman. My nutritionist advised me to eat only one cheat meal a week, and to consume as little alcohol as possible. Following her guidelines and working out consistently at a high pace I was able to reduce my body fat % from 23% in Sept 2008 to 19% in December 2008. I had an extra 9 lbs of fat at the outset and by the conclusion i had reduced it to 1 lb extra. That is, by following her guidelines I replaced 8 lbs of fat with 8 lbs of lean muscle. Just to repeat, she allowed me one cheat meal a week. Maybe a little bit crazy for some people, but it worked! Guess it depends on what your goal is Mpresev. Just my two cents.

I agree with Sterling...eating the free meal as the last meal works best for me. If I start the day off with a free meal I find myself struggling to get back on track. I also use the one meal a week method SCourtney recommends, minus the alcohol (I'm allergic) - I look at it as a reward for eating healthy the rest of the week. Surprisingly I've found that the longer I eat healthy the rest of the week, the more I want healthy food on my free meal.

This has been a question I have been wondering about. So I thank all of you for your advice and suggestions. I used to have a plan where I would eat healthy 6 days and have one cheat day. But I love just one cheat meal. And makes total sense to make it the last meal. Thank you again.

I cheat once a week.
I know its not right but, I need something to look forward too while I work hard the rest of the week.

I had a cheat meal for lunch yesterday.. I found this NY Pizza place in Downtown L.A and OMG, it's the best pizza I ever had in my life.. I didn't feel bad cause I had a NY slice and a Sicilian to see if it's any good.. Moral of the story? I got home and I felt sooo sleepy that I took a nap around 4pm and feeling blahhhh.. I worked out around 5 and I felt weak and tired doing the Power Resistance workout.. Was carbs the culprit?

Oh I do . .. My mind has not been conditioned enough to eat super healthy.. I did that and my friends told me I was a high maintenance freak(in a joking way of course)..
