Hi all,
My name is Robyn (Ro) and I am an assistant principal in the Denver area. My husband and I started P90X 30 days ago and love it. Granted we have had a couple of lower moments, but all in all we are doing quite well...eating clean and Bringing It to our workouts. We have five children ages 16 down to 3-yr-old twins. Needless to say, with our busy lifestyle the convenience of P90X was a great fit...

I have had a little trouble with staying motivated lately...Mainly because I haven't really seen any results (other than strength and stamina)...I am hoping to gain some momentum from the energy of the folks on these boards!!

Ro, strength and stamina are great! What are you looking to get out of P90X overall?

I need to lose some of my twin skin (after three years since their birth I don't think I am supposed to use that excuse any longer...but I still do:p)...Ultimately, I need to lose 30-35lbs. I haven't started doubles yet...and that's another goal.

Hey Robyn - Thanks for joining us. You'll get where you want to go. The formula is Time + Effort + Consistency = Results. You need all of those elements to make it work, so give things time to gel.

I'm sure I'm not telling you anything new, but you can't run a small or medium calorie deficit forever and not lose any weight! (You don't want your body to be in starvation mode, obviously.) If you stick with it long enough and bring it - which you know you are because you're stronger and have more endurance - the weight will come off. Enjoy the feeling of developing your body in the meantime!

Good for you for coming to the boards! We're a pretty positive bunch, hope we can help! Whatever helps you make working out just plain part of your life is a good thing.
