Does anyone know how to check unread posts

I am having trouble figuring out how to check the 16 unread posts that it says I have in the right corner of my screen without going back through each post to see if there is on that I missed. Also after I find it, it still says its an unread post. Also uploaded my picture it is on my profile but not showing up with my posts like everyone elses.. Starting program on monday so excited but so hard to get motivated to work out at 6am ...ugg

There's two places you can get to the list of unread posts through: One is the notice you're talking about in the right corner (it's clickable), the other is the leftmost link that says "New posts" under the yellow menu bar at the top of the screen.

The profile picture is sneaky - there's two pictures that sound like they should show up next to your posts, but only one does. The one called "profile picture" only shows up when people click on your name to see our profile on the boards. The one that shows up next to the posts, like here is called an "avatar picture."
