I know someone asked this question before so excuse me for asking it again. Currently I'm taking a Wheybolic protein from GNC and have been doing some reading and research and found that it contains sucralose(man-made sweetner). I want to get away from that and use something that is naturally sweeten, but taste good as well. I am leaning towards Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein that doesn't have artificial flavors, have anyone tried this brand and how is the taste? Looking at what they got I like strawberry, cookies and creme and probably vanilla ice cream. also how do you mix it, with water, milk etc...

Thanks

Hi Edde, I've never tried that one. I am pretty picky on the taste of my protein and the one I use taste great BUT it does have 1 gram of sugar. It's called Amplify and it's only avaliable at some GNC's. I mix mine with 6 oz of skim milk and 1/2 tsp peanut butter and 4 cubes of ice.
My Shakeology tho I mix with water

That's the one I'm currently using that I want to get away from. It has man-made sweetners in it and I'm looking for something that is all natural and taste great.

Isopure Vanilla is good. It also has 0 carbs and 50 grams of protein/serving.

Have anyone tried Jay Robb™ WHEY PROTEIN? It's exactly what I'm looking for, I just want to know how is the taste when using water?

I've used Optimum Nutrition's Pro Complex for about 6 months now and I love it. Low carbs, 60G of protein/serving. I've also used their 100% Whey Gold Standard and it's also very good. I would highly recommend ON's products, check out Vitamin Shoppe for the best prices.

They're artificial sweeteners. Artificial sweeteners are problematic, in my opinion, mostly because they encourage you to keep your sweet tooth and pretend that's not going to get you into trouble. Some of them, aspartame in particular, were linked to cancer in the 80s but if I recalled correctly the link was never casually shown. Whether you think they're bad or not is really a judgement call you have to make yourself.

I personally don't think they will harm me much, mostly because I don't consume much that's artificially sweetened as it is and I have no allergic reactions to them. Even if they DID cause cancer, what little I consume of them is just one of hundreds of risk factors in my life, including things like barbecued, slightly burnt meat off the grill. (Also contains carcinogens. As does the toluene I spilled on my hand in organic lab in undergrad. You can't worry about everything or your life will be a joyless stream of stress.) I choose real sugar over them when I can, so I don't fret above and beyond that. But you're in charge of your life - I can be wrong. Make your own decision and then live with it - that's what we all ultimately have to do.

Your right Teresa, before I started working out I didn't care what I was putting into my body. Now I have taken a proactive role in limiting or eliminating anything that is bad from entering my body. Even in doing so I can't keep track of ingredients that are bad for me. I agree with you that over my lifetime I have eaten & drank stuff that wasn't good for me, but I want to end that trend to the best of my ability. I am trying to find something that is still effective with providing my muscle/body with the nutrients it needs post workout and I believe I found it. I forgot the name of the brand but I was in my local Sprouts store and noticed they sell Whey Protein. There was 2 of them that caught my eyes both with the same ingredients but 1 had extract of green tea in it. I'm leaning towards that one with green tea. thanks again for your input(s), suggestions and kind words.
