So, I was wondering...according to My Plate at livestrong I should be consuming 2234 calories per day + ~600 calories for P90X workout days...so that would make me taking in ~2800 calories per day, this is according to there numbers to loose 2 lbs per week.

Does this seem/sound correct? It seems higher than I would have expected. I also am having problems hitting that high of calories. It seems I normally hit between 1700-1900 calories per day, after I take out the ~600 calories for the workout.

Any recommendations? I want to stay healthy food (or try healthy at least).

Also it seems I am normally putting in about 31/32/36% for fats/protein/carbs. I know my fat number is to high...I try to limit it but tend to eat to much still (at least almost all of the fats are coming from good sources, avocados/almonds/peanut butter.

Any advice/help on this?

As I move into the 2nd month I am trying to hit up the workouts but also concentrate even more on the diet as well, so any help is nice!

Thanks!

What's your age, height, & weight? What's your workout regimen? Is fat loss your number 1 priority?

o woops...forgot that info...lol

Age: 26
Height: 6'
Weight (currently): 217 lbs

And for #1 priority I would say fat loss, with just overall get back in shape. (Used to be in great shape playing soccer, lacrosse, basketball, now...not as much...)

Shoot for 2200 calories/day. In general, your macro breakdown should be: 45-50% protein, 30-35% fat, and 15-20% carbs. You can eat more on resistance days and less on cardio days.
