Love it or hate it, cardio exercises are vital. What do you do to burn calories and keep your heart rate up?

For me, Slim in 6, running, walking fast while out with my dog, acting goofy/dancing around the apartment for a while... pretty much anything that causes me to break a sweat, as long as I don't have to utter the mental phrase "man I need to work out". For whatever reason, when I tell myself I have to do something physical, it doesn't get done. I use reverse psychology on myself all the time. Should that even work?!
Scout, what about you?

Ha ha! I've never heard of reverse psychology working on oneself.. lol!
For me, personally - keeping up with my 3 young kids is massive cardio! LOL Whether it's running through the store with a cartload of kids, hoping that others don't recognize me amongst the pure chaos lol - or running/jogging down the sidewalk trying to catch a child lol- we're very active!!

Stacy- that is hysterical!
Scout-
I also spend lots of time chasing my kids. They have gotten pretty quick ;) I am a cardio junkie, the harder the cardio the more I like it. INSANITY was AWESOME! I love KenpoX as well. But my heart really is in the TurboFire type workout. It is fun and challenging at the same time, plus it has incredible music.

Hmm; good question do I do anything other than p90x hah.
I play tennis quite often 2-4 hours at a time so I guess thats decent cardio, I dont do it now but before I started doing p90x I was training to get into the army. So i was going on runs every day, 3 miles was the shortest cardio run I did my longest was 16 miles.. I was angry that day good way to get rid of frustration, only thing was I was running away from home so my mum got a phone call; "hey mum" "where are you are you ok" "well i guess i can hardly stand and im like 16 miles away from the house, come pick me up" haha. Good times. so yea, I'm doing do much for cardio nowa days i guess.. p90x pretty much takes it all out of me too tired to do anything else!
Sleeping does not count as cardio right..? damn.. ):

I'm on week 4 day 5 so its a pretty easy week, I'm enjoying it heaps ive started seeing results already so its kinda motivated me abit more to like put everything I have into each and every work out. I dont do much on a daily basis so I mean the work out really makes my days most days between watching what im eating how much of what im eating and working out yea it fills in a good 3 or so hours a day (thats a good thing).

Cardio is my trip more than resistance training... I like Insanity's Pure Cardio and Max Cardio .. It's the only cardio I need for now..

Hey Ryandi24,
That's awesome! Yeah, I've heard great things about P90X but haven't tried it yet. 3 hours a day! Wow, that's dedication!! :)

Agree with Mpresev! I love and hate Pure Cardio and Max Conditioning. Insanity is a phenomenal program for Cardio! It has drastically improved my endurance and stamina!!

Kenpo X is great for a sustained good heart rate without killing yourself. I also really love Power 90 V-VI Cardio Intervals.
