Hello!

It's a pleasure to be here and I'm thrilled to join this community. My husband (Joel) and I (Pamme) started our fitness journey recently and it was terrific to be able to connect with folks - both new like us and seasoned veterens. We purchased Power 90 and just completed the 6-day Fat Burning Express. Before starting Power 90, Joel recently lost 25 lbs (yeah) and I lost 30 lbs (yeah) in 2.5 months by changing our diet (healthier choices and reduced calories) and walking more. We both feel great and want to continue this momentum with Power 90 and other Beach Body products.

Last week we started the 6-day Fat Burning Express (6D FBE) and with the sixth workout completed this morning and a rest day planned for tomorrow - I FEEL GREAT. My husband is battling with fatigue and nausea. I think he needed to increase his total calories on the 6D FBE from ~1200 to ~1400 ... this would improve his recovery time, decrease his fatigue and alleviate the nausea. The prescribed ~1,200 calories works for me as I'm smaller (5'3", 180lbs) but he needs more (6'4", 235 lbs). The Power 90 diet has a more balanced carb/protein ratio which should help (in contrast to the high protein 6D FBE recommended diet) and allows you to adjust the total of calories for your needs.

Any one else have a similar reaction and what did changes did you make to compensate?

Thanks so much,

Great job sticking with the 6 day detox.
You are right everyone can react differently to the food plan. I am not sure what your husband's diet is like. Does he normally eat that clean?
He could be feeling a release of the build up of toxins in his body. Drinking more water will help flush the toxins through, resting and if eating more help, he could eat more

This month I am doing a detox too. On day one I thought I was going to die as I dealt with the caffeine withdraw.

I've been a clean eater for years, so my toxin build up wasn't as bad and it was 6 years ago when I started this P90 journey.

Is Power 90 or P90X your next program?

Do you see the holiday challenge thread right below this one? Come hang with us there. You can get to know the other people on this journey with you as well!

Welcoming hugs

I see you are Pamme, so I'll call you by your name instead of Emma. Is that your daughter? I have images of a busy little fluff on the move ;)

Hey there - I'll bounce over to the holiday challenge.

Emma (on da move) is my name backwards. :)

Hubby has been eating pretty clean and not too dependent on caffeine, refined flour / sugar or packaged foods. And, he literally drinks a gallon or more of water a day. I'm Celiac (can't process wheat) so we've been off refined flour for some time. Caffeine wasn't a problem ... but coming off sugar was like coming off crack (not that I would know). :)

We're starting Power 90 on Thursday ... we didn't think we had the fitness level for P90X yet but we envision that to be the next 90 days.

THANKS so much for your response. I'm really, really excited to be here!
