And/or a very clear eating plan for me and my boyfriend to follow.

Hi everyone! I'm Canadian, living out in Scotland right now. I used to do a lot of running, turbo jam and other classes but have since been really busy with a number of things and have let my body slide. I didn't realise quite how bad it's gotten until this morning, when I took a few measurements and exclaimed in surprise at the results. I would like to get back to my former glory, but both eating well and finding new ways and places to exercise (I can't run anymore due to knee problems) are proving tough out here in Scotland.

A lot of healthier subsitutes such as ground turkey are really difficult to get here. And healthier options also cost a lot more - a very difficult burden for me to overcome.

I'm hoping these forums will help shed some light on improvements for me and my boyfriend.

Thanks, and nice to meet you all!

Hi Rachel,
The best thing you can do is work with the foods of you have access to. Very likely, the food is of higher quality.
What proteins can you and will you eat?
And which program where you two thinking of starting? (Turbo jam?)

Nice to meet you too. Living in Scotland sounds amazing!

Yes, what Monica said. Eat whole foods (and by whole foods, I do not mean a "whole" greasy cheeseburger), high protein and lean meat, and high fiber foods. You should be good then.

Why Scotland? Sounds beautiful!

Just to clarify - what do you mean by "healthier options"? Healthier options than...?
