Hi,
I'm new to this forum and to P90X. First, thank you so much for putting everything together on this site, it is very convenient! My question is how long is each phase suppose to last? Do the phases correlate with the blocks of the workout?

Hi lonihawk,
Did you receive the books that come with it, and the schedule? It is easy to follow that way. I think if you don't have the poster of the schedule there is a copy of it in the book. Each phase is 4 weeks, but the last one is 5, I think. The recovery week is the last week of the phase.
Loni - I think you are asking how long each phase of the Diet Plan lasts. The answer is basically as long as you feel comfortable with it. The easiest thing do to is change with P90X, but you don't have to do that. If you have a lot of weight to lose, then you'll want to spend more time in Phase I. If you are near your goal weight, then you can shift phases earlier. I recommend that people spend at least 2 weeks in each phase and that most of your time is spent in Phase II while doing P90X. You should be in Phase III of the nutrition guide over the last three weeks of P90X.
Hope that makes sense.

Hey all,
Just looking for some feedback. . . I've been eating the same way for about a year- it looks similar to the blocks of Phase I Fat Shredder which is what I'm currently doing (I'm in my second week of Lean version). Adding a 500 calorie protein shake post workout and two servings of dairy are really the only changes to my diet (to up my calories to 1800 on average) so cutting carbs and high protein hasn't been a problem for me-- guess I'm nervous to add carbs really LOL.
Looking for advice on what "signs" to look for to signal time to change the nutrition phase. . . I am more focused on building strength (knowing the inches will follow) than weight per say, but am also nervous of staying stuck on a plateau or even worse, undoing progress on leaning out. . . I prefer to only "weigh in" once per week but saw Dave suggest not staying on Fat Shredder for too long. Aside from "bonking" (which hasn't been a problem), what else might signal time to change?
As always, thanks! :)

Inner Strength You will keep in each eating phase for 30 days. Uou can switch to phase two in two weeks.
Thanks for the add on FB!
