    Insanity Abs

I bought Insanity back in April and followed the schedule and diet exactly. After the end of the 60 days I had lost weight and inches and had seen a great improvement in muscle tone and fitness level. This was definitely very exciting and motivating, but since I had yet to reach my fitness goals I decided to start the program over again using a combination of all the videos. I am now down 20 lbs and feeling great but have recently hit a plateau. I would still like to lose another 10 lbs which is realistic for my body type, but I think what I'm most worried about is the lack of definition/weight loss in my abdominal region. I used to be a dancer and my legs, arms, and back are toner now than they ever were back then, but for some reason I can't seem to shape up my stomach, obliques, and love handles. What am I doing wrong?

    HI,
Sorry that nobody has replied to your thread first of all.
I think a lot of people are on vacation. I will too in 2 weeks
But here's my 2 cents. Are you following any nutrition?
I feel right now that I've hit some what of a plateau too on phase III of p90x. I feel i'm getting stronger and fitter but the weight is not coming off as easily.
Nutrition, Nutrition is the key for me. I think a low carb plan works best for me. I also carry most of my weight in the stomach.
Currently (starting this morning) I'm doing the Shakeology cleanse. Last time i did it i lost 4lbs and that got me going and eventually lost 12lbs.

    Hey there!

You know what they say.. abs are made in the kitchen. It doesn't take much fat to cover ab definition. The shape of larger muscle groups, like quads or even biceps, will show through a much thicker fat layer. I'm kind of at the same point. I want to get those abs and I know I have to get my body fat percentage down about another 6 points or so.

What kind of dancer were you? What do you do now?

I'd recommend Ab Ripper X from P90X three times per week.

Hi! Everything that has already been said on this thread is dead on and will help you out. I know that this last bit of fat and weight is the hardest to get rid of (it has been for me and I'm still working on it). Nutrition is the key for your transformation, but I am wondering if you are only doing Insanity and not adding any strength training? I am a "chronic cardio" junkie. What I have found and am trying to remedy is that the last bit of transformation and decrease in body fat percentage does not come without adding some weights to your program. Have you tried adding some heavy lifting days into your schedule? This may help push you past the last bit and decrease your body fat percentage.
