Here’s Why the Primal Blueprint Works
Primal eating is often misunderstood. People think it’s about all sorts of crazy things. In my opinion, it’s really pretty simple. You focus on getting your carb intake to a level that is appropriate for you, then get your carbs from highly nutritious foods like fruits and vegetables rather than grains. I talk about it a bit more here.
As a cyclist and triathlete, I tend to need more carbs than Mark typically recommends. In fact, he’d probably mock me for being a “chronic cardio addict.” Nah, I just like riding my bike. There’s not much more to it than that. However, regardless of our differences, the Primal Blueprint nutrition plan has done wonders for me. I’ve taught my body to burn fat rather than sugar, so I don’t get hungry like I used to. I’ve also noticed a dramatic reduction in inflammation in my joints, which is a big deal for me since I have a surgically repaired ACL.
