P90X INSANITY HYBRID WORKOUT PLAN

Tony Horton, creator of the P90X Workouts, says, “Variety is the spice of life” and “Variety – consistency – intensity!” We couldn’t agree more—so we created this P90X Insanity Hybrid workout program (with a little bit of Tony’s One on One for good measure).

About P90X, Insanity & One-on-One with Tony

To learn more about the P90X workouts, head over to our P90X Workouts page. And, for more info on Insanity, visit our Insanity Workout Tips Video Series page.

Many of you may not be familiar with Tony Horton’s One on One series. In short, there came a point when P90X fans started clamoring for new stuff from Tony. He responded by giving us the One on Ones filmed in his home gym. The workouts are awesome—and, they’re now available on Beachbody on Demand!

The Story Behind Coach Dave’s Hybrid Workout

When I was active in triathlon and cycling, I found that one of the things that made the races a lot more fun was explosive power. This hybrid workout helped to boost his power for—and add variety to—my workouts.

This is a GREAT way to stay accountable and take time to reflect on whether you’re doing the activity that’s going to get you to your goal.

It’s important to anticipate any upcoming events that could derail your program. Rather than set yourself up for failure, you just adjust the schedule so they fall on Recovery Week. If you end up taking a day or two off, because you’re tired from traveling or whatever, it won’t be such a big deal. You just get back at it the following week and have Phase II as a new challenge.
