What Is Barre Blend?

It’s been hard to miss how popular Barre workouts have been for awhile now. They’re loved by many because they do so much — they tone your body, they’re low impact, they improve posture, they increase flexibility, and they’re FUN.

This is an intense high energy program that’s a fusion of ballet barre, Pilates AND cardio interval training. The moves are challenging, and designed to help you burn fat and get you toned, but being dance-inspired makes them so enjoyable—not to mention you feel more graceful doing them.

Now, for the AMAZING news—Barre Blend will be taught in real-time by a professional dancer. You’ll be working out with Elise Joan, the co-creator of the 3 Week Yoga Retreat, from the comfort of your own home!

The full body workouts are 30–40 minutes in length and you’ll do them five days a week for 60 days.

You’ll be burning, sweating, stretching, and strengthening your entire body while you do the full body workouts that include “high-rep, small-range movements and isometric holds, as well as compound exercises, targeted core work, and dynamic stretches.” Each day you’ll also be targeting a specific area of your body.

Barre Blend is designed for all ages and fitness levels!

Are you a beginner or, for whatever reason, you need to take it a little slower? Like all Beachbody programs, Barre Blend has a modifier who does a slightly easier version of each move.

Are you barre savvy or you’re just in awesome shape? You can step up the Barre Blend game by using heavier weights or Resistance Loops (see below) and/or follow the intensifier who makes the moves more challenging.

What Equipment is Needed for Barre Blend?

The great news is that you do NOT need a ballet barre! You can use the back of a strong and secure chair, your couch, a counter, or anything else that’s sturdy and the right height.

You’ll definitely want to use weights; Beachbody Resistance Loops are recommended for maximum toning.

And, don’t worry about any choreography…it’s simple enough for non-dancers!

When Can I Start Barre Blend?

Barre Blend will be available exclusively on Beachbody on Demand.

  • COACHES: From December 3-15, 2019, Beachbody coaches can get discounted Completion/Challenge Packs ($20/£20/$24 CAD OFF) and sneak peak of first 10 workouts. From January 6-26, coaches with a qualifying purchase have access to a Barre Blend VIP Group with Elise Joan. Full access to two Prep workouts, four Barre Basics videos, Program Materials and “Getting Started,” “Introduction to Barre Blend Nutrition,” and “Meet Elise” videos will be granted at the start of VIP Early Access on January 13, 2020.
  • REGULAR CUSTOMERS: Sales of VIP Early Access to the general public begin December 16, 2019.
  • VIP EARLY ACCESS: Coaches and customers who purchased Barre Blend between during the VIP Early Access period have access to the program in BOD beginning January 13, 2020.
  • EVERYONE: Official launch on Beachbody On Demand is June 1, 2020. From June 1-14, 2020, you can join a Launch Group with Elise Joan (no purchase required)!
