The beauty of the 21 Day Fix is its simple portion control system that helps you get a handle on your nutrition. It totally eliminates the need to count calories or weigh your food—woo hoo!!! This is such a massive time and hassle saver, and is the main reason I fell so in love with this program. In this post, I’ll give you a quick overview on how to use the 21 Day Fix containers.

Here’s what you can put in each container:

  • RED—(appx 3/4 cup) Proteins like chicken, lean beef, turkey, etc.
  • GREEN—(appx 1 cup) Vegetables
  • PURPLE—(appx 1 cup) Fruits
  • YELLOW—(appx 1/2 cup) Carbohydrates like oatmeal, brown rice, quinoa, etc.
  • BLUE—(appx 1/3 cup) Healthy Fats like avocados, nuts, etc.
  • ORANGE—(2 Tbs) Seeds and salad dressings
  • TEASPOON—(no limit!) Oils, most seasonings, etc.

You get a total of seven containers—one of each plus an extra orange. They are part of the 21 Day Fix workout program or you can buy the containers separately. Just like everything that hits it big, you can find cheapie knock offs. Although you can get them on Amazon, I HIGHLY recommend getting them through me, because included in the purchase is FREE coaching and membership in my private 21 Day Fix Family group on Facebook.

How many containers you get each day depends on what calorie bracket you’re in. The 21 Day Fix Nutrition Guide will help you calculate this number.
