Getting Started on Beachbody on Demand
In the video above, I talk to you about getting started on Beachbody on Demand so you can start accessing a ton of awesome fitness and nutrition content, including Autumn Calabrese’s 21 Day Fix program, Tony Horton’s P90X workouts, Chris Downing’s Shift Shop program, and much more.
Beachbody has come so far from when I started coaching back in late 2000—both in function and content. I have been a Beachbody Coach for 11 years now—a Beachbody customer for 15 years. That’s a third of my life that I’ve been pressing Play and using Beachbody as the primary solution for my own health and fitness.
It’s been almost exactly 15 years since my business partner, Monica, ordered a little program called Power 90 by some guy named Tony Horton. When we got the VHS tapes, we put them in our VCR and started working out. Fast forward to today and Beachbody is well on their way to accomplishing their goal of becoming the Netflix of fitness and Monica and I are seasoned Beachbody coaches!
Beachbody on Demand is truly exciting when you think about it—and getting started on Beachbody on Demand is super simple.
How Do You Access Beachbody on Demand?
I want to help make getting started with Beachbody on Demand as easy as possible for you. Let’s look first at how you access it.
It’s very simple—there are two ways:
Maybe you were shopping or exploring, so you’re logged in to your Team Beachbody account. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on “Beachbody On Demand” on the lower menu and you’ll go right to Beachbody on Demand (see the picture to the left).
If you don’t already have a Beachbody account, then you want to talk to your coach or, if you don’t have one, message me and I’ll help you set that up with us.
Here’s a little bit about how the coaching program works:
There’s no cost for the coaching program—it’s essentially built into the cost of your supplement, your On Demand membership or anything else you have or will purchase. That’s how we get compensated. There’s no separate cost to you—you’re gonna pay the same price whether you sign up for a Beachbody on Demand membership through a coach or without one. (Actually, if you sign up on your own without going through a coach, Beachbody will assign you to one.)

What Does Beachbody on Demand Include?
Once you’re logged in, you’ll see how easy getting started on Beachbody on Demand is—because it’s really easy to navigate. It is, however, a constantly evolving system in an effort to make it more and more user friendly—so it’s going to change again.
Here’s what included with Beachbody on Demand now:
Beachbody launches new programs about every four to six months and this is where you’ll find them. This is where you look for the freshest and newest content.
On the menu, you’ll see “Workouts.” If you’re working with a coach, the first time you come here, you should have a pretty good idea what you’re looking for because that’s what a coach helps you with. But, maybe you’re exploring or looking for another workout because you’re getting a little bored with the one you’ve been doing.
This is where you come to check out the On Demand library.
There are 30, 60 and 90 minute workouts and dance workouts or ones that build muscles. You can sort them by trainer—like Tony Horton, Autumn Calabrese, Shaun T, etc. It’s just fantastic how they bring all the workouts together in a way that makes sense.
Once you choose a program, you click on it and you’ll see all the workouts and program materials. Everything you need is in PDF format—like the Getting Started Guide, calorie calculater, workout calendar, eating plan/nutrition information with food lists, etc.
Let’s go back to the Home page—it’s really simple to navigate there. I want to show you the Nutrition tab.
This is new for us—and will definitely be expanding with time. Beachbody is constantly adding new content, so there will very likely be more content than what you see in the video above.
A really fantastic feature in this section is Autumn Calabrese’s Fixate cooking show. There are 205 videos in here—from foundational educational ones (like the one about meal prep) to delicious healthy recipes (like Blueberry Maple Muffins…yum!) that won’t put all the weight back on.
There’s also the Shakeology Channel. Let’s say you’ve been working out for awhile and you’re wondering what all the noise is about Shakeology. You can figure all that out here. There are a ton of videos to educate you on the benefits of our most powerful nutritional supplement—you’ll become familiar with what Shakeology is and why you might want to take it. You’ll also meet the creators, like Darin Olien, and find a lot of Shakeology recipes.
The 2B Mindset Nutrition Program
You’ll see a tab in the Nutrition section called the 2B Mindset. This is a brand new program, so I just want to explain how it works.
It’s unlike any other Beachbody program in that it’s a standalone nutrition-based program; exercise is considered to be “extra credit.” It’s solely focused on super healthy eating. I’ve got a shoulder injury, so I haven’t been able to kill it on my workouts and the 2B Mindset has helped me lose 12 pounds during the past two months so I’m a huge fan.
Being a standalone program, it’s not included in the On Demand membership. (You’ll see a lock that indicates the content is locked on the On Demand tab unless you own it.) It’s important to note that you do NOT have to have an On Demand membership to access this area. If you do buy the 2B Mindset ($99—one time purchase not a subscription), you’ll get access to this tab with all the videos AND a box in a mail that includes a Getting Started Guide, Program Guide (with recipes), Nutrition Tracker, and water bottle.

Although Beachbody On Demand has become exceptionally easy to navigate and figure out, it’s crucial to work with a coach so you avoid guesswork and start off with a program that’s a good fit for you.
As a coach, it’s my job to make sure you get into the right program for YOU. Right now there are 35 workouts in the On Demand Library—with new ones coming out every several months. It’s really easy to get overwhelmed, so I will have conversations with you about where you are and where you want to be, your experience level, any health issues, interests, etc., so that I can direct you to the program that I feel is going to benefit you the most.
