Focus T25 Review
Yes, it’s here. Focus T25 is the latest from Shaun T, the creator of Hip Hop Abs, Insanity and The Asylum series. We are pretty used to getting punished by Shaun, but this one is different. Here are my thoughts after spending some time getting to know this workout and doing a bunch of them.
First, it’s 25 minutes…yeah, 25. When I say that, I don’t mean the first couple of weeks are 25 mins. All the workouts are 25 minutes long, with an optional 2 minute cool down/stretch at the end. That’s pretty awesome. As soon as you start to feel like, “whoa, this sucks” you only have about 8 minutes left. That makes me push hard for that last bit. 25 minutes. No breaks. Nail it.
Second, there is a modifier. You may remember Tania from Insanity (think Fit Test). She’s the modifier T25. That opens this workout up to everyone. Seriously, I know my Mom could do this workout. Stay on the ground and follow Tania. That’s pretty awesome, because it’s also just 25 mins. Yeah Mom, you are doing this.
Third, the variety is so awesome. This isn’t a bunch of workouts that are kind of similar. The only thing that’s the same is that they are all 25 minutes. Every workout focuses on something different. So, you really hit that hard during the 25 and then work on something different the next day.
Fourth, “Equipment Needed – Nada”. There is no equipment needed for the Alpha phase, except a mat or soft surface for the ab and ground work. In Beta, you’ll add Upper Focus and need some dumbells or bands. THAT’S IT. You, some shoes, clothes (optional) and the floor!
So, what’s in the box? There are three phases – Alpha, Beta and Gamma. Alpha and Beta are 10 weeks long, and that’s what you get in the base pack. Gamma adds 4 weeks and is sold separately. Don’t worry about that for now. Just get Alpha and Beta and get to work. The base pack costs $119.98. The Challenge Pack runs for $205 normally, but is on special for $180 until the end of July 2013.

The Next Level – The Insane Ward
The Insane Ward grew out of our Twitter Account – @insane_report. While we love what’s going on with the Insanity Report, we want to take it to the next level. We are going to do that with Facebook. It allows us to dive a little deeper into each others lives (beyond 140 characters) and thereby support each other more. We’ve found that the tighter a community becomes, the more people succeed. And so, we’ve created the INSANE WARD. Just click HERE, and it will take you to the group where you can request to join us there. That group focuses on all things Shaun, so we have people doing all of his programs there.
Since Facebook is a little different than Twitter, we are going to have a few different ground rules. If you are already a Beachbody Coach, we are going to ask that you stick with the Twitter feed. We have handpicked a few Beachbody Coaches to provide support in the Insane Ward, and we are going to keep it at that.
About Us and Free Fitness Coaching
My wife Monica and I are both Team Beachbody Coaches. We started and completed Insanity in 2009 when it was first released, and we’ve worked ever since to bring you resources that will help you succeed with Insanity. The most popular of those posts is the Insanity Workout Nutrition Guide breakdown, along with the Calorie Calculator spreadsheet and the videos explaining how to make that nutrition guide work for YOU. We are also P90X Certified Trainers, so we know a thing or two about these things. You can find out how to receive our Free Fitness Coaching by CLICKING HERE. What happens in with the Insanity Report and in the Insane Ward is going to really help you. This is a much more personalized level where you’ll get to tap into our knowledge base with these programs and how to fuel your body for optimal results. We will also provide support for a wider range of Beachbody fitness programs than we will in these Insanity specific communities.
